BIG Oopsie!!

Not much new to report, but here's what I spent a few hours freaking out about the other day. Fuschia (sp?) nail polish all over my CREAM colored carpet and CREAM colored coffee table. YIKES!!!!! That was holy you know what to get out! I'm still working on it, actually. What a bummer.
How did this happen?! I was painting my toenails and Adriana was standing on the other side of the table, reading a book. When she was done, she flung the book and it hit the polish, knocking it off the table, it bounced off the floor and hit the bottom end of the coffee table and you see the end result. I only had a slight heart attack. EEK! I've got most of it off the floor now (there's just a light pink stain, that I'll continue to scrub at) and I'm still working on the table. I think from now on, I'll paint my toenails outside! ;) Mommy's kisses are THE best! :)

Wow!

Ok...Wow! Sorry for the HUGE delay in posting. We haven't had internet at home in a while, therefore no pictures and I never really got online long enough to check out/update the blog. Bad Mama! But, thanks to my Gramps, he reminded me that I need to keep up with this. And I really want to, so that Adriana can read back some day and think about what a CRAZY Mama she's got and one that loves her more than life itself!
Let's see...My little GIRL (no more baby, even though she knows she'll always be Mama's baby!) is now just about 3 short months from turning FOUR. Where has the time gone? It feels like she just came home from Guatemala yesterday. She's very much like her Mama with her sassy attitude (I blame it on my Mom. Haha. She raised me and she has Adriana most of the day now, while I'm at work.....hey, its just easier to blame someone. LOL) Just teasin'. She's a great kid. I love her to death. She's enrolled into school for the Fall. Hopefully she'll get in (they take 4yo's first and she misses the cut off date by 9 days, so she'd be in the "3yo group"). We won't know more for a couple of weeks. She really keeps saying that she doesn't want to go, so if she doesn't make it in this fall, I won't push it, but she'll definitely go next Fall. Then she'd start Kindergarten the fall after that. (Let's not think about THAT yet, though!) This summer we've enjoyed lots of swimming, hanging with friends, playing at the park and doing puzzles. Adriana LOVES puzzles. She can put together those 24pc. ones faster than I can. Little shit! She is amazing.
She isn't growing too quickly. She's 24lbs and about 32" tall. Poor thing couldn't even ride kiddy rides at the fair this year. She was soooo bummed. At one point she said to me in a whiny voice "But Mama..I eat all da time and I'm still not getting bigger". Poor thing!
Well, I must head off to work now, but I will be sure to add some pictures this afternoon/evening of my little princess! Have a great day!

Dentist and Distance...

AnaBean had her check up today at the dentist. All is well. No cavities! Yay!! :) She did so well, I was so proud of her. She's been several times now, but this was the first time that she sat in the chair by herself (we've always done "knee to knee" visits) and she let them clean her teeth! They typically try to have parents stay in the waiting room, so I had her all prepped and raring to go...she was going to go by herself and was "soak excited". Then the time came, they called her back and said "bring your Mama". She was still soak excited that I got to come watch them brush her teeth. :) I was so proud of her!! :)

Next up...distance....I may be taking a break from blogging. "Distancing" myself so to speak. I'm just in a funk with every day life these days and really am not interested in being a downer on my daughters blog. I will try to update with pictures and anything new that comes our way....when I get around to it.

For those of you that pray, please keep my 2yo niece (Lyllie) in your prayers. She cut her finger off (not completely OFF, but its bad) last week and they're going in tomorrow to try to "fix it up" as best as they can. Unfortunately, I've agreed to fill in for someone at work, so I won't be making the trip to the hospital. Thanks in advance for your prayers as she goes thru such a traumatic event. Poor girl! :(

Fun times for Mama!

Wow! Mama got to go out and have a fun "big person" night. No little one screaming Mama or any whining to deal with or anything. (that was awkward at first...I'm not used to eating my meal alone) LOL. Anyway, one of my high school friends got married yesterday. Adriana got to enjoy the wedding with me and she LOVED the "beautiful white princess". (Bren sure was a beautiful bride!) But then Mama got to attend the reception...ALONE. :)
So, here's a photo of me, along with my high school friends. Hard to believe that we've been out of school for 10, yes TEN, years! Wow!! I do miss those days...and these special people! We had a blast together last night, just like old times. I hope we're able to get together more often! I couldn't believe how much my cheeks hurt. I haven't laughed that much in a long time! Thanks guys! Brenda: You were absolutely stunning on your wedding day. (not that you aren't always) and everything was so perfect. Congratulations to you and Mark. I wish you two nothing but the best in your future! :) L to R: Me, Brenda (the beautiful bride), Lisa, Tracy and Aaron

Oops!

Not much news to report. Adriana did try to stick something up her nose the other night. (see photo below, just ignore the boogie in the other nostril!) She did have a slight panic attack when she realized she couldn't get it out. LOL. Little stinker! Happy May Day!
